Connect Health Connect
SoLoFit uses Health Connect on Android for bounded training, sleep, heart, and recovery data. Permissions are requested by data type and remain separate from SoLoFit's own Nutrition records.
Supported permissions
SoLoFit can request read access for:
- distance;
- exercise;
- sleep;
- heart rate;
- heart rate variability;
- respiratory rate;
- resting heart rate;
- health-data history and background access where supported.
SoLoFit can request write access for distance, exercise, and exercise routes.
Data SoLoFit does not request
SoLoFit does not request Health Connect access for nutrition, active or total calories, steps, cadence, height, weight, body fat, oxygen saturation, or VO2 max.
App-native Nutrition does not change this boundary.
Grant access
- Open the Health Connect setup or rationale from the Android app.
- Review each requested data type.
- Continue to the Android Health Connect permission screen.
- Grant only the permissions you are comfortable sharing.
- Return to SoLoFit and review the resulting health or readiness state.
You can manage or revoke Health Connect permissions later through Android system settings. Revoking a permission stops future authorized access but does not automatically delete records already saved in SoLoFit.
If data is missing
- Confirm that the source health app has written the expected record to Health Connect.
- Confirm the matching read permission is still granted.
- Check that background and history access are available if older or background records are needed.
- Complete a manual readiness check-in when device data is unavailable.
For account-specific recovery, use the SoLoFit Help Center.
